Virgen del Santo Rosario.

En la religión católica, el mes de octubre es un mes en el cual se celebra a la Bienaventurada Virgen María del Santísimo Rosario. Instaurado el 7 de Octubre como su día de festividad oficial.
En la Ciudad de Guatemala por tradición y por milagrosa que ha sido la Virgen del Santo Rosario, ubicada en la Iglesia de Santo Domingo esta festividad se celebra todo el mes de octubre. La congregación de la iglesia se encarga de adornar tanto el interior como el exterior de la iglesia, así como a la Virgen misma colocándole mantos para la ocasión.
La historia de la Virgen del Rosario en Guatemala se remonta hacia 1592 cuando fue mandada a esculpir por el Fr. Lope de Montoya y encargada la elaboración de su majestuosa corona por 3 maestros plateros de Antigua Guatemala. Ubicada antiguamente en una capilla de Antigua Guatemala, se conoce que fue trasladada hacia la Iglesia de Santo Domingo entre los años de 1805 y 1810.

In Catholicism, the month of October is a month which celebrates to Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary. Established October 7 as the day of the official celebration.
In Guatemala City, by tradition and by how miraculous Lady of the rosary is, located in the Santo Domingo Temple, this feast is celebrated throughout the month of October. The church congregation is in charge of decorate the inside and outside of the church, as well as the Virgin herself dressed her with robes for the occasion.
The story of the Our lady of the Rosary in Guatemala dates back to 1592 when she was sent to sculpt by the Fr Lope de Montoya and the commissioning of its majestic crown made it by 3 master silversmiths of Antigua Guatemala. Formerly located in a chapel in Antigua Guatemala, now located in the Church of Saint Domingue, Guatemala City, known to been traslated between the years of 1805 and 1810.

Guatemala un país donde lo colonial y la modernización se fusionan en su cultura e infraestructura. En Ciudad Guatemala se pueden encontrar edificaciones desde el siglo XVIII hasta modernas de hoy en día. El mejor ejemplo se puede encontrar en el Parque Central. Donde se encuentra La Catedral Metropolitana del siglo XVIII hasta el Edificio El Centro uno de los más altos del lugar.

Guatemala a country where the colonial and modenization merge into its culture and infractructure. In Guatemala City can be find buildings from the eighteenth century to modern day. The best example can be found in Central Park where is the Metropolitan Cathedral of the eighteenth century to the building "El Centro" one of the highest in the place.
